Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry encompasses a range of procedures aimed at improving the appearance of your teeth and smile. This can include teeth whitening, veneers, bonding, and cosmetic shaping. The goal is to enhance your smile’s aesthetics, boosting your confidence and self-esteem.
Botox
At Galbreth Family Dental, Botox is used for both cosmetic and therapeutic purposes. Cosmetically, it can reduce the appearance of wrinkles around the mouth and adjust the smile line for a more youthful appearance. Therapeutically, it can help manage TMJ disorders, bruxism (teeth grinding), and chronic migraines, providing relief from jaw tension and pain.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers in dental clinics are used to smooth out wrinkles and folds in the skin around the mouth and lips, providing a fuller, more youthful appearance. They can also be used to correct asymmetries and enhance the contours of the face, complementing cosmetic dental treatments for a complete smile makeover.
Juvederm
Juvederm is a type of dermal filler offered in dental clinics, specifically designed to address facial wrinkles and volume loss around the mouth and lips. It provides a smooth, natural-looking lift, enhancing facial aesthetics alongside dental treatments for a rejuvenated appearance.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening services in a dental clinic offer a safe and effective way to brighten your smile. Professional whitening treatments can remove stains and discoloration from the teeth caused by coffee, tea, wine, tobacco, and aging, resulting in a noticeably whiter smile in just one visit.
Veneers
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front surface of teeth, improving their appearance. They can correct a wide range of dental issues, including discoloration, chips, gaps, and misalignment. Veneers offer a durable and aesthetic solution for a flawless smile.
Restylane
Restylane is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler used in dental clinics to add volume and fullness to the skin, particularly around the lips and nasolabial folds. It complements dental aesthetics by creating a more balanced and youthful facial appearance.
Dental Cleanings
Dental cleanings involve the removal of plaque and tartar from teeth, polishing, and sometimes fluoride treatment. These cleanings, performed by a dental hygienist, are crucial for preventing tooth decay, gum disease, and maintaining overall oral health.
Dental Exams
Dental exams are comprehensive assessments of your oral health, including evaluation of teeth, gums, and mouth for signs of disease, decay, and cancer. They often include x-rays to detect issues below the surface and are key to early detection and treatment of oral health issues.
Night Guards
Night guards are custom-fitted devices worn over the teeth to prevent damage caused by night-time teeth grinding (bruxism). They help alleviate jaw pain, headaches, and prevent wear and tear on the teeth.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer screenings are examinations performed by a dentist to look for signs of cancer or precancerous conditions in your mouth. The goal is early detection, increasing the chance for successful treatment.
Preventative Dentistry
Preventative dentistry encompasses a range of services aimed at preventing dental problems before they start. This includes regular cleanings, exams, sealants, and fluoride treatments, along with education on proper oral hygiene practices.
Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentistry focuses on the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years. It includes preventive care, assessment for orthodontics, cavity treatment, and managing gum diseases, ensuring a healthy foundation for permanent teeth.
Crowns & Caps
Crowns (or caps) are restorations that cover the entire visible part of a tooth, restoring its shape, size, strength, and appearance. They’re used for damaged or decayed teeth, after root canals, or to cover implants.
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth, “bridging” the gap between remaining teeth. Anchored to neighboring teeth or implants, bridges restore bite and prevent remaining teeth from shifting.
Dental Fillings
Dental fillings repair and restore the surface of teeth damaged by decay, cracks, or fractures. Fillings can be made from various materials, such as composite, amalgam, or porcelain, and are matched to the color of your teeth for a natural look.
Dentures
Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and surrounding tissues, available as complete or partial sets. They help restore the ability to eat and speak normally and improve the appearance of a smile.
Implant Dentistry
Implant dentistry involves the placement of titanium posts into the jawbone to act as roots for missing teeth. Over time, the implants integrate with the bone, providing a stable foundation for artificial teeth, such as crowns, bridges, or dentures.
Root Canals
Root canal treatment is performed to save a tooth that is badly decayed or infected. The procedure involves removing the damaged area of the tooth (the pulp), cleaning and disinfecting it, and then filling and sealing it.
Emergency Treatment
Emergency dental treatment addresses acute dental issues that require immediate care, such as severe pain, abscesses, lost fillings or crowns, broken teeth, and trauma to the mouth.
Extractions
Extractions involve the removal of a tooth from its socket in the jawbone, typically due to severe decay, infection, or overcrowding. They can be simple (performed on visible teeth) or surgical (for teeth below the surface or not fully erupted).
Periodontal Treatment
Periodontal treatment addresses gum disease, from early-stage gingivitis to advanced periodontitis. Treatments can range from deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) to surgical interventions, aimed at preserving the teeth and gums.
Sedation Dentistry
Sedation dentistry uses medication to help patients relax during dental procedures. It’s ideal for those with dental anxiety, allowing for a more comfortable and stress-free experience during treatment.
